Charles Mambula

Charles J. Mambula, Ph.D. is an expert in entrepreneurship development in addition to being a well-rounded businessman. He received a Ph.D. in International Entrepreneurship and Small Business from the University of Wales, Swansea, in 1997, and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Jos, Nigeria, in 1989. He started his academic pursuits by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business in 1983 from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana. He is a deputy chairman of the United States Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria, and a member of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the International Council for Small Business. Prof. Mambula also holds a certification in New Testament Survey from the Church of the Brethren Mission.

Prof. Mambula joined the faculty at Langston University as an associate professor and chairperson of the department of management. In 2018, he became Chair of Entrepreneurial Studies and the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Research. At the institution, he teaches courses in the fundamentals of management, business seminars, international management, business consulting, entrepreneurship and development. In his career, Prof. Mambula has received numerous grants for his work, including a summer research grant from Suffolk University to study entrepreneurship development in Senegal.
